New Labyrinth on the Island
Saturday saw the creation of a labyrinth at the Coast Collective in Colwood. Volunteers came out for this fundraiser and lent their feet, minds and talents to carry sticks to lay out the key, arrange the string to create the path and then walked it repeatedly stomping on the drier ground and walking gently on the really soft places. It was a great day for it, cool but not cold, no rain from the sky, but plenty to prepare the ground for us to work. It will change over the months. I anticipate that in the summer it will a golden path and long grass in between. It needs to be walked to keep it there, so please lend your feet to the path at sometime this year. The photo is of me at the end of the day, doing some final stomps on the higher ground (photo by Cindy Moyer) and Kate Cino was one of the participants and made this great little video. artopenings.ca is her site. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K03DbbKvZmM&feature=youtu.be
